Morning all!
These days I seem to get more work done before the kids get up ready for home schooling, than I often do during the rest of the day – or at least that’s how it feels!
Well, what a change the last few weeks has bought! Like the rest of the country, our lives have been turned upside down by recent events, but do we consider ourselves lucky compared to so many.
The last few weeks have bought many challenges for us, but you just have to adapt & changes with the circumstances you sometimes find yourself in So Will & I have done some DIY – things we don’t usually have the time to do as we’re usually open over 12 hours every day. We’ve also started offering a takeaway service for food and drink which has been an enormous learning curve, but has been well supported by our local community. It has also kept a small but steady income flowing in, and allowed us to take a couple of members of our team off furlough.
This last week, we have also received our last lot of dates for the bat surveys which we require in order to allow us to proceed with our planning application for conversion of the function room. There is certainly a light at the end of this tunnel now – hooray!
Keep safe my friends! We can’t wait to see you all again!
