In addition to our usual menu, we also offer a lighter lunch menu which is served 12-3pm.

We have some great offers this week – Monday night is supper for a fiver (6-9pm).  Tuesday is Valentine’s Day and between 6-9pm we are offering any two main meals from our menu or daily specials and a bottle of wine for only £20.  Wednesday night is pie & a pint night (Otter Bitter, Kaltenberg or a small glass of wine) for only £7.95.  Delicious!

This weeks ales

Six Penny Handley, IPA 5.2% ABV – A real IPA brewed with Pale and a small amount of Crystal malt. An enticingly complex hop bill of both traditional English and modern American varieties. Producing a potent brew of bitter oranges and lemon fruit finishing bitter but balanced by juicy malt.  Whilst this beer has a higher ABV than many of other other ales our customers have really enjoyed it, so much so, that we are considering getting it in again!

Otter Brewery, Otter Ale 4.5% ABV – Otter Ale is a very well balanced beer that delivers the flavours of quality floor malted barley and finishes with a combination of fruit and some bitterness. Its nose is a balance of malt and fruit.

Otter Brewery, Otter Bitter 3.6% ABV – Otter Bitter is one of our session beers and a very popular one at that!  It is a beautifully light and fruity beer with good hoppy bitterness.  It leaves a refreshing bitterness which prompts the next gulp.

Hop Back Brewery – Back Row – 4.6% ABV-  A strong best bitter from the Hop Back team; ruby coloured with deep malty flavours backed up with a strong hoppy finish.

Sharp’s Brewery, Sharps Own 4.4% ABV - Rich roasted and malty notes are key to the aroma of Own with some light hop tones. The mouthfeel is full of malty sweetness complemented by a good measure of hop bitterness. The sweet and malty finish is lingering but not satiating.

Blindmans Brewery, Pump Action 4.8% ABV – A smooth mid brown beer, smooth & full bodied with a clean smooth aftertaste
