Local attractions

You will find Wincanton in south Somerset just off the A303, nestling the borders of Wiltshire & Dorset.  About 2 hours from London and just over an hour from Exeter, Wincanton enjoys excellent road links and is a great place for exploring this beautiful part of the South West.

Wincanton town is a delightful place to while a way a few hours, why not pop into one of the lovely boutiques or enjoy a drink and a bite to eat at one of the many establishments.

Wincanton is also home to The Cunning Artificer – a shop inspired by Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld – www.discworldemporium.com .  Wincanton was twinned with the fictional city of Ankh Morpork from the Discworld books in December 2002.  There is now a housing development in Wincanton which boasts Discworld street names!
